During 2007, Jason Stoddard, was approached by the Training Division of the Charles County Sheriff's Office, (MD) to create and teach an advanced two day tactical firearms course. On July 10th, 2007, the course was submited and shortly there after the Maryland Police Training Commission certified the course as an approved firearms course to be taught to all police officers. During March of 2008, the first of numerous "Tactical Handgun" Courses was taught. Throughout 2008, over 100 officers from On May 11th, 2010, WTG’s Active Shooter kits were listed on FEMA’s Responders Knowledge Base. This search engine is used by FEMA and DHS to validate products for purchase using DHS Funding. At about the same time WTG came across Condor Outdoor, a tactical supply company. After researching the company and speaking with them, WTG obtain the rights to distribute Condor's full product line on May 13th, 2010. During this time WTG was also working hand in hand with a certified Tactical Medic and a large medical supply company to create a state of art Tactical Combat Causality Care (TCCC) Operators Trauma Kit. On May 19th, the 1st kits arrived and were immediately put on sale. The TCCC Operator’s trauma kit was subsequently listed on FEMA Responder Knowledge Base. At the completion of 2008, Jason was once again approached by the Southern Maryland Criminal Justice Academy to create a "Mindset" course to be taught to both in-service and rookie classes. After contacting and collaborating with world renowned authors LT David Grossman, and Kenneth Murray, Jason created a four hour Predator Mindset Course. During January of 2009, the first of over twenty courses was taught at the Southern Maryland Criminal Justice Academy. Throughout 2009, over three hundred officers from Charles, Calvert, St Mary's, Prince Georges, Morningside and LaPlata Police Departments attended the class.
As a result of the success and positive feedback Jason was receiving from the Predator Mindset Course, he along with David Willis collaborated to create the Warrior Training Group. During July of 2009, the Warrior Training Group LLC was officially formed. The company mission statement was codified as “The Warrior Training Group’s mission is to provide the highest quality products and services at the most economical price. There is no greater calling then saving lives. We will honor the men and women who service our great nation each day in what ever way we can.” During September of 2009, WTG presented its first course hosted by Sheriff Mike Lewis and the Wicomico County Sheriff's Office. The courses once again received nothing but positive feedback and critical acclaim.
During the spring of 2010, after an active shooter course, Jason and David noticed many officers were ill prepared equipment wise to deal with an active shooter incident. After conducting extensive research and testing, the Warrior Training Group created its first Active Shooter Kit. Being police officers themselves, both Jason and David realized how important it was to get the kits out as soon as possible, while at the same time keeping the price as economical as possible. With the assistance of several large retailers and distributor they achieved their goal. On March 30th, 2010, the first WTG Active Shooter Kit was sold.

As 2010 continued the Warrior Training Group's Retail side exploded. WTG was invited to become a member of the world largest law enforcement, tactical and 1st responder distrutor network. As a result of this invitation, WTG's Retail Division grew from a few hundred products to over 250,000 from over 200 companies. Companies such as Under Armour, Camelback, Benchmade, Streamlight, Maxpedition, CMMG, Rock River, ASP, Pelican and many many others became available through WTG.
During January of 2011, WTG was accepted to be a national distributor of 5.11 Tactical. After just 1 year of sales WTG's sold over $45,000 worth of equipment, uniforms and tactical gear to both individuals and large Agencies all over the world at an average discount of 10 to 25%.
2011 also brought growth to the Warrior Training Group's Training Division. WTG gave multiple class in several states and at several Federal Government installations. We will continue to keep you up to date on our growth. Without you and all the positive comments we have received there is no way we could have gone as far as we have.
